Our story actually starts about 10 years ago. One day I (Kaitlyn) was going home and I spotted a cute boy outside playing basketball in his driveway just down the road from my house I thought I had seen him around at school but wasn't too sure. Fast forward a few weeks and it was Halloween and I decided it would be a great idea to go trick or treating around the neighborhood so I could meet this cute boy. Keep in mind I am a Freshman in high school wearing a mickey mouse onesie with Halloween makeup on.... Anyway, I make my way to his house but as I am walking to the front door I step in dog poop. I immediately turn around and go home and I am unsuccessful in my mission of meeting this cute boy. Five years later, I get a notification on Snapchat from Hunter Wilkinson and I instantly get excited! At this point in time I don't know that he was the same kid I tried to go meet all those years before but I remembered him as a cute upper classman from high school. Hunter and I start messaging on snapchat and we talk for a few months until we finally decide to hangout for the first time. I can still remember that day so vividly. After that first time we hung out, I just knew he was special and I prayed that he would be around for a while. From that very first day we were inseparable and spent pretty much everyday together. He took me to his grandmas house to meet his family and that is when i realize that we have lived in the same neighborhood pretty much our whole lives and he was that same boy from all those years before. That same front yard I stepped in poop in trying to meet him for the first time when I was 14 is the same place he first told me he loved me 5 years later! What a full circle moment. A couple months go by and we both get covid at the same time so i end up quarantining with him at his place. I ended up never going back home and six months after we started dating we got our first apartment together. Now almost 5 years later we have been through so much. I graduated college, Hunter started and graduated college, we got engaged, we bought a house, and I went through a horrible and traumatic wreck that Hunter heard all of through the phone. Hunter and I make the best team and I know for a fact we wouldn't be where we are today without the support of one another. I can not wait for this next chapter as Husband and Wife.
