In the summer of 2022, Aaron had recently moved to Philadelphia for a fresh start. A few months later, in November, Kaitlyn also moved to the city. With a little encouragement from one of her bridesmaids, Tori, she decided to try dating apps for the first time — and within her first week, she matched with Aaron.

Aaron was her first (and only) date in the city. He made reservations at Positano Coast in Old City for their first dinner together, and they instantly realized it was the best first date either of them had ever experienced. At one point, a stranger even came up to them and said they were so cute, they should get married.

Things became more serious on Valentine’s Day 2023, when Aaron took Kaitlyn on a trip to New York City. Later that year, around Thanksgiving, they began looking at engagement rings together.

In January of 2024, while on a trip to the Bahamas, Aaron proposed after a private dinner at Graycliff. That evening, they walked along the beach under the stars, where Kaitlyn said yes — marking the beginning of their forever.
