TRAVEL

Where will I stay during my time in Callahan and how will I get around?

Please visit the "Travel & Stay" section of our website for information on travel, accommodations, and transportation.

When should I arrive into town?

We would love all of our guests to try to arrive on Friday, April 26th, if possible! Hotel check-in begins at 4 PM . A welcome cocktail hour will be held at the hotel bar from 3:30-5:30 PM. This will give us a chance to say hello and welcome you to the weekend before the wedding chaos ensues! This will also ensure you have ample time to get ready for the wedding on Saturday, as an early check-in is not guaranteed. Of course, we understand if this is not possible and we are truly blessed that you are joining us for the wedding! Reach out to us with any questions/concerns!

What is the weather like this time of year?

For our non-Floridian guests, weather in Jacksonville this time of year is typically between 70-80 degrees F. April is a pleasantly warm time of year in North Florida with a gentle breeze.

THE MAIN EVENT

Where are the wedding day events taking place?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all taking place at The Barn at Cottonwood Ranch. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be lakeside. The cocktail hour will be hosted on the covered patio and uncovered lawn. The reception will be held in the air-conditioned barn.

When should I arrive at the venue?

Our ceremony begins promptly at 3:30 in the afternoon on Saturday, April 27. The venue will begin welcoming guests at 3:00 PM. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 3:00 PM and no later than 3:20 PM to allow time to find your seat. If you arrive after the ceremony has begun, our coordinator will escort you to the patio where you may view the "I Do" without disrupting the ceremony and join us to celebrate at cocktail hour. Information on shuttle departure from the hotel to the venue will be provided upon check-in.

What is the attire?

Attire for this event is formal. Please, no jeans or bold patterns. For ladies, a midi or floor length dress is appropriate. For the gents, please wear dress slacks and jacket/suit. Use this as an excuse to get dressed up and update that profile picture! For the gals - the venue has a heel-friendly pavered aisle and patio area, so you will have just a short walk in the grass to your seat for the ceremony. We ask that our guests avoid wearing colors typically reserved for the bride and bridal party - white, cream, ivory, champagne, etc.

I am driving to the venue, where can I park?

Please consider using our arranged transportation to and from the venue, as alcohol will be served. However, if you decide to drive, parking is available at the venue and a golf cart shuttle service is provided to the ceremony location. Please note that the barn is located approximately 1.5 miles down a dirt road through beautiful Florida scenery from the gated entrance of the ranch. Signs will be placed for your assistance.

I am not staying in the hotel, can I still get transportation?

We will only be coordinating transportation from the DoubleTree. Please reach out if you have questions regarding the accommodations provided.

Can I use a ride share service for transportation to the venue?

Please note that Uber/Lyft will not drop off or pick up from the venue. The venue is located approximately 1.5 miles down a dirt road past the entrance to the ranch.

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space and vendor restrictions, we are only allowed to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. During the online RSVP process, all names in your party are provided for you to mark as absent or attending.

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Yes, if your family was addressed on the invitation, we would love to celebrate with your entire family, however, if you want to enjoy an adults-only weekend, we understand that too! We will reach out separately to coordinate kids meals and other accommodations!

Can I take photos?

We are asking that you join us for an unplugged ceremony - let our photographer do the work! After the ceremony, snap away. Are hashtags still a thing? Use #Lucky2BLongueil to document the party!

Will there be a bar?

Is this even a question - the drinks are on us, the hangovers are on you! We will have a fully stocked bar and craft cocktails. Please bring cash tips for our bartenders!

I am all about a party, is there an after party?

Yes! The last call at the venue will be served at 9:45pm. Our reception will end at 10:00 pm. At the end of the reception, we will have transportation arranged for return to the DoubleTree Hotel. The after party will be located in the hotel bar area immediately upon return to the hotel until 1 AM and will have a cash bar.
