Kait and Ryan&nbsp;met at a college bar in September of 2010.&nbsp; Kait spotted Ryan from&nbsp;across the room and she'll say it was love at first sight!

How We Met

After meeting, Kait and Ryan spent the next few years falling in love at&nbsp;Manhattan College.&nbsp; After Ryan graduated, they survived a&nbsp;the next couple years&nbsp;long distance where they enjoyed&nbsp;summers relaxing&nbsp;at the Jersey Shore and winters&nbsp;exploring Philadelphia.&nbsp; Kait eventually&nbsp;made the move to Philadelphia where they have&nbsp;been&nbsp;since.&nbsp; While dating, Kait and Ryan have especially&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;doing anything outdoors together.&nbsp; Their favorite things&nbsp;to do are&nbsp;hike and&nbsp;travel&nbsp;(22 states down!).&nbsp; Whether they were&nbsp;feeding wild hogs in the swamps of Louisiana, hot air ballooning in Albuquerque, camping with wild ponies in Assateague, backpacking 23 miles&nbsp;in the Grand Canyon,&nbsp;floating down the Snoqualamie River, kayaking through the mangroves of the Florida Keys or&nbsp;watching the sunrise from the top of&nbsp;Cadillac Mountain, Kait and Ryan have enjoyed every minute of their relationship and are excited to officially start their lives together.

Dating

On a beautiful winter morning while visiting Kait's parents, Ryan had suggested grabbing breakfast at a local brunch spot.&nbsp; Kait agreed&nbsp;and, with the help of her mom, Ryan was able to convince Kait to not leave the house in sweatpants.&nbsp; Like many mornings at the Shore, they stopped at the beach beforehand (although Kait complained that Ryan wanted to go for a walk for reasons of being&nbsp;hungry and wearing booties).&nbsp; A few blocks into their stroll, Ryan spotted "a sand castle" near the dunes.&nbsp; Kait followed Ryan up to the dunes and written beautifully in seaglass in the sand was his proposal.&nbsp; After lots of happy tears and of course,&nbsp;saying "yes," Kait's mom and Ryan's parents came running down the platform steps, champagne in hand, cheering.&nbsp; Ryan's brother, Justin, had been hiding behind&nbsp;the jetty all morning to capture the&nbsp;moment on camera.&nbsp; They spent&nbsp;the entire day and night celebrating with family and friends.&nbsp; It was the most perfect day any girl could imagine.

starting at&nbsp;$129 per&nbsp;night The bridal party and family will be staying at this hotel.&nbsp; It is less than 10 minutes from the reception and is right in the middle of the Amish Country.&nbsp; The property has a petting zoo, tennis and basketball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, miniature golf, and shuttle bus tours of the area. Room blocks have been made for Friday and Saturday nights.&nbsp; When calling give date and mention Parlow/Sen.&nbsp; Rooms fill up quick at this popular hotel, so we recommend booking as soon as possible but no later than January. Transportation to and from&nbsp;the reception will be provided to family and friends staying at this hotel. Much of the Amish Country is closed on Sundays.&nbsp; If you would like to take advantage of the surrounding area, come Friday night or early Saturday.&nbsp; For Kait and Ryan's favorite Amish Country activities, see below!

A great way to see Amish farmlands and get the chance to speak to one of the Amish in a private buggy!&nbsp; Kait and her mom did the 3&nbsp;mile/30 minute&nbsp;tour for $15!

Abe's Buggy Rides

Kait and Ryan have&nbsp;picked up lots delicious treats from this farmers market!&nbsp; Their favorite spot is Bird in Hand Bakery.&nbsp; Pick up one of their&nbsp;famous Shoofly Pies and do sample ALL the cheese!&nbsp; This market is right next to the hotel!Hours are Wednesday - Saturday 8:30AM - 5:30PM

Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market

This is Kait and Ryan's favorite spot to stop&nbsp;while visiting Lancaster.&nbsp; There are lots of cute shops for clothes or home decorations, a&nbsp;fudge store, cheese store (with a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of samples), jam store (with a lot more samples)&nbsp;and wine tasting.&nbsp; It is a short drive from the hotel.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Kitchen Kettle Village

Beautiful shop with home decor, candles and souvenirs.

Hours are&nbsp;Monday - Saturday 8AM - 5PM

Old Candle Barn Inc

If you are planning on staying in the area, this is a great spot if you are hungry.&nbsp; They have buffets set up for every meal and&nbsp;a gift shop where you can pick up a Shoofly Pie.

Miller's Smorgasbord Restaurant

Kait and Ryan visit Hershey Park at least once a year.&nbsp; They have a great selection of rides and roller coasters and their&nbsp;Chocolate World is a fun experience.&nbsp; They&nbsp;enjoy spending the day at the Park and then heading over to Chocolate World to&nbsp;make their own chocolate bars!
