Kaitlyn and Jake briefly met for the first time in a country bar at Florida State University. As Jake walked by, Kaitlyn grabbed his cowboy hat off of his head and asked to borrow it for a quick selfie (this is that exact selfie). Jake said "it looks better on you anyways" and they went back to their separate friend groups.

Kaitlyn and Jake take Boomer to Alligator Point Beach for the day as one last big outing before having to leave Tallahassee due to Covid 14 days later, beginning the start of their long-distance relationship.

On one of the many visits back and forth between Cincinnati and Ft. Lauderdale, Jake went with Kaitlyn's family to their family cottage in Wild Rose, Wisconsin.

The end of over two years of dating long distance! Kaitlyn moved from Cincinnati to Wausau, WI for her first full time post-graduate job on May 13, 2022. Jake soon followed, undertaking a 1,600+ mile move from warm, sunny south FL.

Kaitlyn and Jake moved back to Cincinnati in late December of 2023 and have since been enjoying going to Bengals, Reds, FC Cincinnati and Cyclones games, rodeos, and spending time with friends and family.
