Greg and Kaitlyn met virtually (how modern!) in July of 2019 and quickly knew they wanted to meet in person. Unfortunately family and work trips meant that they weren't in same area until close to the end of the month. On July 28, 2019 they had their first official date at Caffe Amouri and spent 4 hours talking. It felt like they had known each other for years and their relationship began.

Greg introduced Kaitlyn to the finer points of baseball & weather, while Kaitlyn brought Greg up to speed on Southern culture and her endless stream of DIY projects.

She, with the help of Princess, also turned him into a dog person.

And Greg & Simba taught Kaitlyn to love cats.

In March of 2020 they found themselves, as we all did, in quarantine as COVID swept the nation. Both of them lived alone with no one close by - so they decided to brave the unknown together. A week turned into a month, and a year later they were still living together -happier than ever.

On March 17, 2021 Greg asked Kaitlyn to marry him by buying her coffee at Caffe Amouri to celebrate one year of living together (and surviving the pandemic craziness). Kaitlyn said yes!
