Becca Benson
Becca Benson - Bridesmaid
Becca-Becca-Benson is my ride or die. I have so much fun hanging out with her. Whether it be by making me the saltiest glasses for my margaritas, dancing the night away with me at a festival or party, traveling together around Europe, or just hanging out in pjs at home, Becca is always there to make me smile. And I am happiest when we are together. I owe her a big thank you for all the work she has put into helping me during this wedding planning season of my life. Without her I surely would have given up and eloped by now! From her line of work to how she treats her friends, you can tell that Becca thrives when she is helping others. I am so lucky to have such a loving and kind friend in my life.
Merideth Rasplicka
Merideth Rasplicka - Bridesmaid
Merideth and I bonded over originally having horrible freshman roommates. The RAs helped us switch so that we could moved in together and the rest is history. One of my favorite memories about Merideth is being at a lunch with her mom where she saw me give Merideth a huge hug when I arrived. She made a comment along the lines of “wow I can’t believe she lets you do that”. Much to my surprise I learned that Merideth didn’t like to be cuddled. I was shocked because we had spent so much time hanging out on my twin bed watching makeup videos and tv shows because I love to cuddle with my friends. She put aside her own feelings about it because it made me happy. That is true friendship.
Caroline McGimsey
Caroline McGimsey - Bridesmaid
I’ve known Caroline for the shortest amount of time out of my bridesmaids, but it does not feel that way at all. Caroline and Becca have been best friends since high school. Becca introduced us when Caroline moved to Atlanta, and we now completely understand why Becca chose to befriend me in college. Caroline and I are two peas in a pod - literally born 1 day apart! We quickly became inseparable. It definitely helps that she is also incredibly close with Nick. Along with Andrew, the four of us love to watch F1 races together and go golfing. In Caroline, I found the adult friend my life was missing. She is always available to support me and love me. And I can’t imagine my life without her and can’t believe she hasn’t always been a part of mine. I can’t wait for all the shared birthday celebrations to come!
Lexi Van Metre
Lexi Van Metre - Bridesmaid
Lexi is my favorite sister. We don’t always get along, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We kept life competitive and had so much fun making each other better. Despite being 3 years younger than me, Lexi has often been a role model for me inspiring me to push myself to achieve greatness. I have always admired her athleticism, will power, and phenomenal fashion sense. I mean look at how well she styled me for the night of Nick’s proposal. Lexi actually helped plan our beautiful engagement and I’m forever grateful for that. She has a true talent for making people feel their best. Lexi was the only bridesmaid I invited to join me on my wedding dress shopping experience. I will forever cherish the memory of her crying with the biggest smile on her face when I came out in the gown that would become my "yes!" dress. I am so lucky that I will have her to support me on my wedding day too.
Elise Frias
Elise Frias - Bridesmaid
I met Elise when she was only 4 years old in a stroller at Nick and my first date at the mall. She was too shy to talk to me. But I could tell we were going to be buddies. She quickly realized I could be a cool older sister and soon it would take Anjie having to pull her off my lap so Nick and I could enjoy a little alone time during date days. I have loved having a second younger sister to watch grow up and help me pick on her older brothers. I am so glad that she gets to join us at the alter while I marry her brother. And I am so excited to make our sister bond official!
Molly McComb
Molly McComb - Bridesmaid
Molly and I met freshman year when we joined Kappa Alpha Theta. Molly is always the life of the party. I gravitated toward her amazing personality. She is very inclusive and will always be there to support those she loves. Molly has taught me the most out of my bridesmaids. She is the best example of how to live your best life despite adversities. I’m a better friend and person for knowing Molly. And I know I can always count on her to put aside all of her own struggles to be there for me when I need it. She is selfless and wonderful. To know her is to know a true friend.
Jacob Read
Jacob Read - Groomsman
Jacob and I first met in our 7th grade homeroom, and our friendship developed through long nights at our parents’ houses watching UFC fights and playing through Borderlands and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Together, we’ve played music, driven my 2009 Chevy Silverado from Atlanta to Phoenix, visited Mexico (see photo), San Diego, and Vegas, and lived it up as roommates in Athens. Our friendship has stayed strong through it all, and there is no one else I would want standing beside me on this special day.
Baker Messier
Baker Messier - Groomsman
I have known Baker for the entirety of his life (and all but the first 5 days of my life), and over the last 25 years we have never missed a beat when we hang out, despite living in separate states for two decades. After using his Ford Ranger to pull my old Silverado out of the mud in the middle of the night, it’s safe to say Baker and I will always be there for each other, no matter what.
Thomas Frias
Thomas Frias - Groomsman
Thomas is the older of my two younger brothers, and our two year age gap means that we have not always been the best of friends, but we have always been by each other’s sides. Whether we were playing (and winning) 2-on-0 in the living room Stanley Cup Finals, or putting on our own Jimmy Buffett concert, or spending countless hours customizing players and teams on the many professional sports video games we have owned over the years, Thomas and I have been two peas in a pod. We may live on opposite sides of the country now, but I know that Thomas is always going to pick up the phone and talk.
James Frias
James Frias - Groomsman
James (or Jim, as he would like to be called) is my other younger brother, and the life of the party wherever he is. The four year age gap between us was not enough to separate us or our senses of humor, as James always knows exactly what joke to crack—and when—whether we are playing Quiplash or Call of Duty, or just hanging out. If you need a good laugh, look no further than Jim for his impressions and jokes.
Greyson Roberts
Greyson Roberts - Groomsman
One of the other founding fathers of Delta Kappa Epsilon at UGA, Greyson and I bonded over our love of sports, specifically baseball, their rival AFC South NFL teams, open wheel racing, and the fact that we both grew up raised in houses of SEC East rivals to their alma mater. Be sure to keep an ear out for Greyson at the wedding, because he is bound to be singing along to all of the classics at the top of his lungs.
Andrew Carnahan
Andrew Carnahan - Groomsman
While I have known Andrew for the shortest length of time of any groomsmen, you would not be able to tell that based on our bromance. Since moving to Atlanta, Andrew has become mine and Kaitlyn’s golf buddy, our Braves season ticket buddy, and also my go-to teammate when I boot up my PlayStation to play some Call of Duty or F1 2023. If you need to find him on the night of the wedding, look no further than the dance floor, where he is sure to be bustin’ a move!
