Traveling by Plane
For those of you flying into Minnesota, there are two airports you can fly into.
The main airport is Minneapolis—Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), which is a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Brainerd, MN. We highly recommend renting a vehicle to get around for the time you are here.
Brainerd also has a small airport, Brainerd Lakes Regional (BRD) only 15 minutes from the recommended hotels. You would have a short layover at MSP and then a quick one-hour flight to Brainerd. The cost is more, however much less driving. You would likely want to rent a vehicle, as there are limited Ubers/Lyfts in the Brainerd area, and transportation may be difficult if none are available.
