Alex and Kaleigh's journey began their junior year of high school when they both took Spanish class. They met, went on their first date to Chick-fil-A (naturally!), and quickly became best friends. Little did they know how the rest of their story would unfold. On February 18, 2020, their relationship officially began—after Kaleigh gave Alex a little nudge to finally ask her out after a month of dates. He's known for needing a little push!

A year later, the couple started a long-distance chapter that would last the next four years. Alex stayed in South Carolina, attending USC Upstate, while Kaleigh ventured out of state to the University of Kentucky. Despite the 7-hour distance and all the uncertainties that came with it, they grew even closer. They navigated the challenges of long-distance, proving that high school sweethearts could thrive, no matter the miles between them.

After four amazing years filled with FaceTime calls, summer road trips, and unforgettable memories, they got engaged on July 2, 2024, in the heart of South Carolina, at the historic Horseshoe in Columbia. Now, they are beyond excited to return to the place where their love story began and say “I do” in July 2025.
