After meeting online in 2020, Kalena and Jacob started to show interest in each other and soon made efforts to meet in person. After a week together, they became inseparable, spending most of their time calling each other and playing video games together.

Long-distance calls and short visits every few months kept the flame going, and the two were still madly in love.
