Kaley and Kaelen met in 2014 at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. Kaley was apart of the softball team and Kaelen was apart of the football team.

While attending the University of Northern Colorado, Kaley and Kaelen always remained great friends. Over the years, the Garcia family opened their doors for every holiday, making Kaelen feeling apart of the family. The two soon developed feelings for each other but agreed it was best to remain friends. Kaelen graduated from UNC and ended up moving back to California. When Kaelen moved back to California, his feelings for Kaley never changed.

Fast forward to January of 2020, Kaelen invited Kaley to Las Vegas for her birthday. The two had a great time and decided that being friends wasn’t enough. They wanted to be more than friends. That’s when they made it official!

Over the next 3 years, the couple continued to grow their long distance relationship. Kaelen finished the police academy and became a police officer in LA, while Kaley was pursuing her career to become a registered nurse. Although some of those times were tough, they both knew that together they can get through anything. Through it all, Kaelen knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kaley.

Over the years, Kaelen always asked Kaley random questions and wrote it down in his phone like her favorite flower, favorite color, ring size/ cut, etc. After months of planning, Kaelen and the Garcia’s planned the proposal at Kaley’s grandparents house, where all of her family and his family were able to be apart of such a special day. Kaelen even had multiple FaceTime’s going so their best friends were able to be apart of the proposal! Kaelen took Kaley’s hand and walked her over to the balcony where below he had a sign that said “MARRY ME”. Kaelen got down on one knee and asked Kaley to marry him. She said YES! They popped champagne and celebrated with all of their loved ones.

After that, it was wedding planning season. Now here they are, soon to be married and embarking on their journey of love.
