Our Wedding

Our journey began on an ordinary Thursday afternoon in May of 2022, though it would soon become anything but ordinary. Kaley, on her lunch break, decided to use the time to have her car aligned and checked for a noise she had been hearing. She called a local shop to see if they had availability — and that call led her to Bryan. Upon arrival, Bryan invited Kaley to take a short drive so she could point out the sound she was concerned about. While Kaley may have noticed a quick glance from Bryan, she thought little of it. Behind the scenes, however, Bryan’s coworker — and now groomsman — had made a bet with him: that he wouldn’t get her number. The wheels were set in motion. Bryan completed the alignment and offered to replace Kaley’s brakes the next day after work, in exchange for dinner. They agreed, and the following evening, after the car was taken care of, they shared a sushi dinner that lasted nearly three hours. What stood out wasn’t just how easily the conversation flowed, but how meaningful it was. They spoke openly about their families, their lives, and their values — discovering a rare and immediate connection. The very next day, Kaley reached out with an invitation to play pool. Remembering that Bryan once worked in a pool hall, she crafted the perfect excuse to see him again. That Saturday turned into 13 hours of pool, darts, dinner, and heartfelt conversation. And from that weekend forward, they’ve been inseparable. What began as a simple car appointment quickly became something far more profound — a chance meeting that turned into a lifelong connection. From a friendly bet and a test drive to building a life together, we are so grateful for the unexpected path that brought us here — and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.

Think suits and ties, cocktail or evening dresses, or anything you’d wear to a classy celebration. The overall vibe of the wedding is moody and classy—think rich tones, elegant style, and a little bit of drama (the good kind!). We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white (as is tradition) and also steer clear of plum and maroon, which are reserved for the wedding party. Otherwise, feel free to dress in a way that reflects the sophisticated, evening feel of the day.Dress to impress. We can’t wait to see you looking your best!

Dress Code

We are so excited to celebrate this special moment with our closest friends and family. Our wedding will be a formal and intimate gathering, and we kindly ask for your understanding and support as we keep it invite-only—with no additional plus-ones. To preserve the experience and allow everyone to be fully present, the ceremony will be unplugged. That means no phones or cameras during the ceremony, please. Our photographer will be there to beautifully capture every moment, and we promise to share those memories with you afterward. Our wedding reception will be held at a cozy local restaurant that we love—not your typical ballroom affair, but something much more personal and relaxed. While it is a celebration of our marriage, it won’t follow the traditional reception script. Think of it more as an intimate gathering with good food, meaningful conversations, and the people who matter most.

Beacon Grand only offers Valet parking for $72 + tax per day with in-and-out privileges. To utilize the Valet Services, please pull into the white loading/unloading zone in front of the hotel at 450 Powell Street.

Just a 2-minute walk from City Hall, Civic Center Plaza offers a food court, free game tables including chess and ping pong for friendly matches. Be sure to check the plaza’s website for the event calendar on the day of your visit!

This is a hidden gem in the Tenderloin, just a 7-minute walk from City Hall. This spacious spot features stunning Art Deco details and offers some of the cheapest drinks in the neighborhood. Emperor has a pool table, shuffleboard and a large back smoking patio. They even have Pliny the Elder on draft, along with fast, friendly service—perfect for a relaxed hangout.
