Our Story

Our story begins in 2022, when Kaley visited UConn after getting accepted. During that trip, her lifelong best friend Raquel—now the Maid of Honor—introduced Kaley to Ryan, whom she had met at UConn just a few weeks earlier and had quickly become a close friend. What started as a simple introduction turned into a longer conversation than either of us expected, helped along by the funny coincidence that both of our brothers are pilots.

Our conversations carried through the summer, filled with easy back-and-forths and the everyday moments that helped us grow closer. By the time the fall semester arrived, the connection already felt familiar. Once we were both back on campus, we naturally found ourselves spending more time together—whether it was grabbing food between classes, studying in the same corner of the library, or just hanging out with friends. By October, it was clear to both of us that this was becoming something real, and we officially started dating.

From that point on, our relationship grew through the places we explored and the routines we created. We discovered how much we love traveling together, whether it’s a weekend in Burlington, Vermont, wandering through local shops and eating way too much good food, or a winter visit to the Ice Castles in New Hampshire, where we embraced the cold for the sake of a good photo. Every December, we try to carve out time for our annual holiday trip to New York City—complete with festive lights, crowded sidewalks, and traditions we now look forward to all year. And when summer rolls around, we head to Otis, Massachusetts, where our days slow down and life feels simple and sweet.

In August 2025, we added a new member to our little family: Winnie, our dachshund puppy. She immediately became the center of our daily life—an excellent cuddler, a questionable listener, and the perfect companion for all of our adventures. We didn’t know it was possible for such a small dog to take up so much space in our hearts, but she proved us wrong quickly.

Two months later, in October 2025, Ryan proposed in Washington Depot, CT. We had spent the day exploring the town—walking, talking, visiting little shops, and enjoying the quiet charm of the area. By the time Ryan got down on one knee, the day already felt special; the proposal just made it unforgettable.

Now, we’re looking forward to everything ahead, especially celebrating our wedding with the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you—and to continue building the life that began with one campus visit, one introduction, and a connection that only grew from there.
