Kaley and Cooper first met in their junior year of high school. Cooper recounts Kaley walking into their Pre-Calc class very disheveled. It was her first day at Merritt Island High School. She had moved from Viera over the summer. She sat right in front of him all year. That year, the two of them grew closer in their friendship during Track & Field season. It was during that time that Cooper asked for her number.

The two did not talk much over summer vacation but when school came back in season they began sitting together during lunch. Soon thereafter the two starting hanging out, outside of school. Cooper asked Kaley to go to homecoming with him and she said yes. They started dating September 24th, 2016. Kaley early enrolled into The University of Alabama in January to play soccer. They continued to date and do long distance until summer 2018. After a year and a half of long distance, both of them being collegiate student-athletes, they parted ways.

Kaley and Cooper were able to stay friends over the years. Occasionally even hanging out. In 2022, the two of them began getting close again while Kaley was living in Tampa. She moved back to Merritt Island and they started dating not long after in the fall. September 24th, 2022 to be exact. About eight months later they moved in together and now have two dogs. They both coach at Merritt Island High School, where Cooper proposed on November 14th, 2023 on the high school game-field. The field where they both played and coached.
