Once upon a time in college...
I met Matthew while dating his best friend. Timing is a funny thing... I loved who he was from the second we met, however he was a mere observer with blinders on. It wasn’t until years later, after we had each gone our separate ways, that fate... I mean me... decided to bring us together again.


Fast forward six years, I slid into Matthew's DM's asking for some advice on neighborhoods in the area as I prepared to move back to Florida. I made plans a couple months before my move to visit for a wedding and check out my new city.


The rest was history. I went back to Denver, CO for two months and we talked every day. I didn't know what it would turn out to be... little did I know.


The proposal was nothing short of a surprise. My best friend whisked me away for drinks, and I unknowingly made things quite difficult for poor Matthew and everyone involved. But he pulled off the grand surprise, with our entire family and friends no less, and it turned out to be the most unexpected and best moment of my life—I'm not easily surprised!


As we look ahead, we’re excited about fixing up our house and building a life together, especially after overcoming the challenges posed by the recent flood.
