Our Wedding

We met during our freshman year of college through a mutual friend, and from the very beginning, it just felt easy to be around each other. Our first date was at Papacitas in Longview, where we spent hours talking, laughing, and realizing how much we had in common. Not long after, we officially started dating — and we’ve been making memories together ever since. During our college years, Blake was playing hockey, and many weekends were spent at the rink, with Kali cheering him on from the stands. Those years were such a blessing — not only because we got to grow up together, but also because we got to share so many moments with friends and family who mean so much to us. After graduation, Kali moved to the DFW area to begin her teaching career — and, of course, to be closer to Blake. Not long after, we moved in together and started building a home full of love, laughter, and plenty of good food. Over the years, some of our favorite memories have been the trips we’ve taken and concerts we’ve gone to, but we also find so much joy in the everyday moments — spontaneous Sonic runs, crawfish dinners, movie nights, card games with friends, and binge-watching short series. We’re both big foodies and love finding new restaurants (or returning to our favorites week after week), but we also love cooking at home together. Whether it’s trying a new recipe or making one of our favorites, we’ve discovered that we make a pretty great team in the kitchen — and we’re both proud to say we’re pretty great cooks, too! Through it all, we’ve grown closer and stronger, and we’re so grateful for the love and loyalty that have carried us through life’s ups and downs. Being able to grow alongside each other — supporting one another, making each other laugh, and building a life full of fun, love, and adventure — has truly been the greatest gift. We can’t wait to continue this journey as husband and wife, surrounded by the friends and family who have been such an important part of our story.

Kirstin is my twin sister, built-in best friend, and the person who’s known me longer than anyone else, literally. From childhood adventures to life’s biggest milestones, she’s been there every step of the way. She’s the calm to my chaos, the planner in the group, and always the one who shows up exactly when you need her.

Alex is my big sister and lifelong role model. Growing up, I always looked up to her, she set the bar high and somehow made it all look easy. She’s the one who’s always led with strength, kindness, and a sense of humor that makes everything better. Whether I needed advice, support, or just someone to make me laugh, she’s always been there.

Shelby was my college roommate, and from the start, it was clear we were cut from the same cloth. We have the same sense of humor, the same outlook on life, and the kind of connection that made even the most chaotic college days feel easy. She’s the sunshine of the group, always upbeat, always honest, and always exactly who she is. Her energy is contagious, and she keeps everything real in the best way.

Halli is one of those rare people who just never wavers. She’s been my rock through so many chapters of life, always steady, always present, and never going anywhere, no matter what. Her loyalty runs deep, and her friendship has meant everything to me over the years. I can always count on her to show up, to listen, and to stick around when it matters most.

Gabbi is the truest kind of friend, the kind who shows up for you, believes in you, and lifts you up, no matter how much time has passed. She has this quiet strength and loyalty that never fades, and even if life gets busy or distance gets in the way, she’s always right there when it counts. Her heart is huge, and she’s always looking out for the people she loves.

Some people come into your life and instantly just make sense. From the very start, we realized we were basically the same person, and what followed was a friendship that quickly become inseparable. I could not imagine celebrating this day without her standing by my side

Makenzie Pigott

Gaven’s the kind of guy who makes everything easier. He’s sharp, quick with a one-liner, and somehow always knows exactly what to say whether it’s in the middle of a packed room or during a quiet moment when things don’t feel so light. He’s the one who shows up without being asked, keeps everyone laughing without trying, and never lets you forget you’ve got someone in your corner. There was no question who’d stand next to me, Gaven’s always been that guy.


Gaven Tryon 

Tristan’s been around for as long as I can remember. He’s a man of few words unless the word is “bro” but you always know where he stands. Laid-back, steady, and always down to hang out, he was the guy I could count on to show up, no questions asked. In college, I don’t think a single day went by where we weren’t kicking it. He’s not loud, but his loyalty speaks for itself and that’s why he’s standing with me today.

Tristan Aun

Josh and I go way back to freshman year of high school. Since day one, he’s been one of the most loyal guys I know always there, always solid. He’s got a sharp sense of humor and a calm, steady way about him that makes him easy to be around. Now he’s training to be a pilot, which means I’m definitely looking forward to scoring some free flights whenever I need a getaway.

Josh Cooper

Parker is the guy who keeps everyone laughing and is always up for whatever’s next. He’s the definition of a good time, never takes things too seriously, except maybe his Spotify playlist. He might be a lightweight, but that just means he’s the entertainment a little sooner than the rest of us. Always fun, always dependable, and always in. Parker’s one of a kind.

Parker Koenig 

Chase is the kind of brother everyone hopes for -  genuine, kind, and always putting family first. He’s the guy who checks in just because, shows up without being asked, and somehow makes every moment feel easy. If there’s a Dallas game on, you can bet he’s watching probably in a jersey, probably yelling at the TV. He’s the biggest Dallas sports fan I know, but an even bigger-hearted brother. Having him by my side means everything.

Chase Branum

Paxton is my nephew and, quite simply, my best friend in kid form. He’s one of the kindest and most genuine little boy you’ll ever meet, always thoughtful, sincere, and full of heart. His smile lights up any room, and his warmth makes every moment brighter. Having him by our side on this special day means the world to us.

Palmer is a bright little light in our family, full of joy, curiosity, and sweetness. She brings so much happiness to everyone around her, and we’re honored to have her play such a special role in our wedding day.
