Kali:On August 20th of 2023, Max took me to Mia’s Italian Kitchen (our reception location) for our first date. All we could do was stare at each other in awe, with a silent knowing that felt like walking into a house and knowing I was home. We only broke away our gazes when the waiter would approach, and even joked about how different but simultaneously incredible the moment felt.The second I walked out of my building and hugged him for the first time, I knew he was the one. Since then, we have grown together mentally &amp; spiritually, as a team with an unbreakable bond that continuously strengthens the closer we get to God. We got engaged a year after we met, recently adopted our first fur-baby (Duncan), and are excited to become one and commit to a life together. It is also extra special that we get to do this in the church where he proposed and celebrate with our loved ones. I cannot wait to spend forever with my best friend. I love you, Max. We met on a dating app and that voice said don't let her go. When I picked her up for our first date I knew the second I saw her I would marry her.I did not think I could love anyone like I have loved her. The ups and the downs, the laughter and the tears, everything we have gone through together has cemented in me an unshakable love.From moving in to proposing to planning our wedding and life, everything has just felt right.I will love and protect you until my dying breath Kali, and then for eternity after that.

We have reserved a block with a total of 48 rooms/nights (between Friday and Saturday) at Hotel Indigo in Old Town, Alexandria. It is 2 blocks away (4 minute walk) from the reception venue, Mia's Italian Kitchen. It will also be the location where the trolleys pick up guests to attend the ceremony. Thus, you are welcomed to stay wherever you would like but we highly recommend booking at this location with our discounted rate, for your convenience.    An important note from the hotel: All reservations must be received by Friday, November 14, 2025 at 5:00PM hotel time. All rooms not reserved by this time will be released for general sale. Hotel & Travel

The transportation service will come to Hotel Indigo at 1 p.m. to collect guests to be taken to the church ceremony. Transportation will also be provided at the end of the ceremony, from the church to the reception venue. The reception will last until 10 p.m. but due to the very close proximity of the hotel, guests can feel comfortable returning to their hotel room at any time.

Grab a bite at our favorite breakfast/brunch spot! Ruthies All-Day is a family-friendly, all-day neighborhood restaurant and bar with a custom built wood burning hearth. They are open for coffee/breakfast counter service, full-service lunch and dinner, and brunch on the weekends.

Spend the early hours of our wedding day at 7am-noon, getting fresh air and fresh produce from local farms and vendors at Old Town Farmer's Market. It is the oldest farmer's market in the U.S. and is walking distance from the hotel and reception venue!

If you want to explore the other side of the river (D.C.), enjoy thousands of exotic animals, educational animal demonstrations, the Asia Trail (where the giant pandas live!), and many other exhibits at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Admission is free and it is open every day.

Explore the greatest monuments, (free) museums, and the U.S. botanical garden with a walk around National Mall. Our favorite spots are the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Washington Monument. This area is metro accessible. Just make sure you bundle up and plan accordingly!
