Some say love is sweet. Ours began with cookies.
Kali and Corey matched on a dating app in the spring of 2020 and quickly bonded over a shared obsession with desserts. It was April, peak pandemic lockdown, and the world felt quiet. But when we met in Portsmouth’s Prescott Park, bundled up on a frigid spring night, something just felt right.
We sipped wine from travel mugs, wandered along the water, and talked for hours. At the end of the evening, Kali handed Corey a homemade cookie to take home. This sealed the deal.
Our love grew through enjoying the little things- walks, beach days, bike rides, kayak adventures, camping trips, boat rides, spontaneous adventures, and plenty more baked goods. From the start, we found joy in the little things and comfort in each other during a time when the world was uncertain.
Fast forward five years to another chilly spring day. This time, a windy Easter Sunday. In the exact spot where it all began, Corey got down on one knee and asked Kali to spend forever with him. (She said yes, after recovering from the surprise and wind.)
We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with you, surrounded by all the people who have supported our journey, shared experiences with us, and maybe even enjoyed a cookie or two along the way.
With love,
Kali & Corey
