The love story of Mayson and Kali all began with a swipe. Kali decided to try out a dating app called Bumble. She came across Mayson's profile, which had a picture of his adorable dog, Nala, who happened to be a German Shepherd—a breed that Kali loved. She couldn't help but comment on how cute Nala was, and that sparked a conversation that lasted for several days.

Eventually, Mayson asked Kali if she wanted to meet up, and they agreed to have their first date at the Grind, a coffee shop in the UW-Milwaukee Union. Their initial study dates at the library turned into dinners, drinks, and dancing dates in downtown Milwaukee. They spent a lot of time exploring Milwaukee during the first couple of years of their relationship.

However, things changed when Mayson decided to try out roof sales in Raleigh, North Carolina. They had to spend a year apart, which was tough for them. But despite the distance, their love grew stronger. After a year, Kali decided to join Mayson in North Carolina and continued her career as a third-grade teacher.

When they traveled back to Wisconsin to celebrate Christmas 2022, Mayson proposed to Kali on her grandparent's porch overlooking Silver Lake. It was a special moment with their loved ones around them.

After a year in Raleigh and contemplating their future, Kali and Mayson decided to move back to Wisconsin. They wanted to build a life together in a familiar place filled with happy memories and surrounded by loved ones.

And so, their journey continues as Kali and Mayson prepare to embark on their lifelong adventure as husband and wife. They hold onto the memories that brought them together and look forward to creating a beautiful future filled with love and laughter.
