Homecoming dance their senior year. The two cut things off a few months after.

Their sophomore year of undergrad they reconnected and started dating again! Tristan was playing football at the University of Findlay while Kalia studied athletic training at Ohio Northern University.

Tristan & Kalia's relationship became a little bit more long-distance when Tristan graduated and started dental school at Ohio State. Kalia made sure to visit when she could while also enjoying her last year in Ada.

Less than a year later Kalia graduated from ONU and started physical therapy school at Ohio University. Here they attended Kalia's PT prom!

Kalia adopted a cat! Grover the lady's man is the sweetest boy and Tristan is one of the only males that Grover will put up with despite Tristan's many attempts to pet his belly.

The missing tooth saga... Long story short, Tristan broke his front tooth on a recycling bin and the family all flew to Colorado for Tristan to have it pulled.

Tristan mastered the no tooth smile as he refused to wear a flipper, so he walked around without a front tooth for over a year! Tristan & Kalia's relationship was getting serious at this point, but Kalia made sure to tell Tristan he wasn't allowed to propose until he had a front tooth!

The one and only time Tristan wore the flipper... his white coat ceremony!

Tristan finally got a front tooth! And not even a week later he proposed on the top of a mountain in Breckenridge during their spring break trip.

Since their proposal Kalia was slowly starting to plan their wedding while the two finished up graduate school! Kalia graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Tristan graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

They spent the month following graduation relaxing and taking a trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley to celebrate earning their degrees. Shortly after they moved back home and started their jobs!
