Daniel and Kalin met in the summer of 2021 over coffee in an attempt for Daniel to recruit Kalin as a volunteer to serve at a camp he was working at. From the moment she walked into that Jittery Joes, he knew that this would be a little more than just a recruitment scheme.

They became best friends, and fast.

The constant and consistent volunteer hours together, hot chocolate walks, sporting events, phone calls, text messages, built up to the deciding moment,

a date.

They went on their first date in November of 2022, a competitive one full of go-karts and duck pin bowling. Both of which Daniel lost, Kalin would like to add. See the competitiveness?

But what they didn't lose was their sense of being best friends. One date lead to a second one, which lead to a third one, which lead to years worth of dates.

And concluded with December 7th, 2024, when Daniel would ask her to be his best friend, forever.

And they look forward to sealing the deal on August 16th, with the people they love the most.
