Where it all began... as many of you know, Kalin works as a Sergeant within the school system. Kayla works as an elementary school counselor within the same district. Given the nature of our positions, it was inevitable that we would eventually work closely together and cross paths. When we did, it was truly an instant connection. We both felt such a draw to one another, as if we've already met in another lifetime. It wasn't long after this meeting that we had our first "date." This involved driving to a nearby park after work one day and sitting in the car talking for several hours straight. We always say how this could have gone one of two ways - extremely awkward or extremely telling. That was the whole point. :) We both left this day knowing that our connection was something rare and special. Honestly, the rest truly was history after that. We began spending every free moment we had together, including more car hangs after work for as long as possible before we had to go our separate ways - which was increasingly more difficult as time went on. Before we knew it, we were living together and creating the most safe, sacred, and cozy life together. We don't say that lightly. Our relationship together has been the greatest comfort either of us have ever experienced. Our love for one another is gentle, caring, patient, and everything we could only have dreamed of. We know how lucky we are to have found eachother, so getting married is the easiest decision to make. There is no one else we would want by our sides for entirety of our lives, going through all the ups and downs, and creating a home, a family and traditions with.
