In January 2016, Daniel was bowling with friends when a photo of him was sent to a group message that included Kalin. She called dibs, and that was that! #DibsOnDuggan. After a couple of weeks of constant texting and facetiming, we decided to find a spot to meet in the middle between Dallas and Houston. After that, Buffalo, Texas would always have a special meaning to us.

After three years of being just friends, we couldn't deny it anymore. We always came back to each other (despite being 389 miles apart). So, on April 12, 2019, when Daniel was in San Marcos for an ADPi formal, we decided to take a leap of faith and officially start dating!

This was our first of many adventures when we skied on the last open mountain in the Rocky Mountains before COVID shut it all down.

Daniel graduated from Texas Tech University and moved to Dallas! First time we ever lived together in the same zip code since we met!

Daniel proposed in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn in Buffalo, Texas where we first met (and had our first kiss!) It was a very full circle moment.
