The meaning behind Sangeet is music or song. There will be dance performances, singing, food, drinks, Mehndi for the guests, and an evening of dancing for all. It is a colorful pre-wedding reception that celebrates the union between not only the bride and groom, but their families as well.

Please note: traditionally during the ceremony everyone sits on the floor. There will be chairs for guests who are unable to do so. This will be a traditional Sikh Ceremony followed by a Vegetarian lunch. There will be a Baraat first (starts outside) in which the groom's side follow the groom up to the venue and dance (everyone can join in!). It/s to let the bride's side know they have arrived. The bride will remain hidden but her family and friends will go greet the groom's side. They will go inside and then members from the groom's side and bride's side will place garlands on each other to signify a union and bond formed between the families. We will have pamphlets explaining the wedding ceremony itself in detail.
