Our story began in Waco, Texas, at Baylor University. It was the summer before our junior year, and we both needed summer jobs. Kammie went the direct route, applying for a job at the gym on campus. Daniel, decided to apply to around 30 jobs in the greater Waco area including a furniture factory and a local farm, but ultimately found himself working at the gym on campus as well. Our friendship grew through long shifts together at the front desk. Kammie hearing way too many facts about Albuquerque, and Daniel learning that the equestrian team at Baylor was not a rodeo. Through many discussions with his current roommate Grant, Daniel finally built up the courage to ask Kammie out on a date. He took her to church followed by brunch at Cafe Cappuccino. They went on more dates that summer, which included the infamous tortilla tossing at the Waco Suspension Bridge.

God had a plan when He allowed for both of them to end up in Fort Worth. Daniel started medical school after graduation from Baylor and Kammie began working at a dermatology office before starting PA school. In spring of 2023, Daniel had a medical board exam that he was busy studying for, and he always joked with Kammie that a proposal would not come until after that test was over. Little did she know, he planned to surprise her with a ring the very next day. She said yes, and the rest is history.
