Kandis and Matt had their first date on October 28th, 2018 at Perkins in Brookings. Matt was studying at SDSU at the time. They enjoyed getting to know each other while watching Netflix, going out on dates, and just hanging out. Some of their favorite memories were an Old Dominion Concert, a barn dance, and climbing the Campanile. After Matt moved back home they started spending their weekends together. On the weekends, they had fun baking and cooking, going to parks, just driving around, watching movies and going to church on Sundays. On March 28th, 2020, Matthew proposed at the Nature Park in Brookings, and Kandis said yes. They were married on November 28th, 2020 at Preston Christian Church with a small group of family present. They have made their home in Redwood Falls, MN; and added a cat named Daisy to their family.
