When do I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by May 15, 2025 by using the RSVP tab on our website.

What if I can't make it?

Your presence will be missed! Please RSVP "Will NOT Attend." If you have already RSVP'd yes, but find that you will not make it, please contact the bride (337) 789-8766 or groom (956) 451-3263.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Yes - both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Carter Plantation. The ceremony will take place in the courtyard and the reception will be in the ballroom.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

We are having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. We ask that guests arrive 30 minutes early to be comfortably seated. Please arrive no later than 6:45 PM.

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and other devices be put away/silenced/turned off during our ceremony so that our guests can be 100% present with us during this time. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!

Can I share photos on social media?

Of course, we welcome you to share our special day!

What is the dress code?

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! So, we are requesting that all of our guests' dress in Semi-Formal or Cocktail attire. See the "Dress Code" page on our website for inspiration. *Please no jeans and no white!

Can I bring a date?

Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Additionally, you will see your guest's name listed when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would like to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Are children welcome?

Invitations will be specific and include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself if you wish!

Will the reception be child appropriate?

We are suggesting that parents use their judgement! There will be loud music varying from slow songs, hip-hop/rap, to traditional wedding song. Additionally, we will have an open bar (the dance floor will go from PG-13 to Rated R at a certain point of the night).

Where do I park?

There is plenty of parking across the street from where the ceremony and reception will be held.

If I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?

Please utilize the "Travel" page on our website. We have suggested a couple of hotels in the area. Additionally, we have limited space for our guests to reserve a room in the cottages at the Carter Plantation.

What is the order of events?

Ceremony: 7:00PM - 7:30PM Cocktail Hour: 7:30PM - 8:00PM Dinner: 8:00PM - 9:00PM Dancing: 9:00PM - 11:00PM Grand Exit: 11:00PM

How can I contribute to your honeymoon fund?

The greatest gift of all if your presence on our special day! However, should you wish to contribute to our honeymoon, a card can be dropped in the card box at the reception or utilize the fund on our registry!

What will the weather be like?

Louisiana is very unpredictable! Let's pray for perfect weather. According to the weather history, last year the high was 85 and the low was 71.
