About Us

Picture of About Us

Being from two different states, we realize our friends and family may not know much about the other! Here’s a little about each of us -

Brad is from Carterville, IL. He played baseball at both John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University. He graduated with his bachelors in education in 2015. He started his teaching and coaching career that following fall in Eldorado, IL under Brandon Hampton for football and as head baseball coach. Together, they decided to make the move to Paris, TX. They knew if they wanted to coach the best of high school football they needed to move to East Texas. After a few years in Paris, TX, they moved to Longview, TX in 2022 to coach at Pine Tree. Brad coaches the safeties in football and is assistant baseball coach. Brad enjoys bow hunting, fishing, all things sports, drinking a beer on the Hamptons’ back patio, and spending every chance he gets with his family. His family includes father Dennis and mother Linda (Illinois); brother Ben and his wife Heather and children Mac, Madelyn, and Lucy (Georgia); sister Amy and her husband Cale Bastien and daughter Mia Jo (Illinois).

Kannan is from Marshall, TX. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 with a bachelors in public health. She eventually realized her heart was in providing for patients and decided to pursue nursing school. She is set to graduate December 2024 with plans to go on to nurse practitioner school. She has a pup named Lacey Jean who has been with her through all of life’s biggest events. Kannan enjoys duck hunting, Texas country music, wine, football, cold weather, all things Texas A&M, and anything in the water.

One thing both Kannan and Brad have in common is deep roots in coaching. Brad comes from a family of coaches and is continuing their legacy. Fun fact - both of his parents are inducted into the Illinois Coaches Hall of Fame - Dennis (football) and Linda (cheerleading). Kannan’s family owned a sporting goods store, selling mainly to school districts, serving a good part of Texas. Her grandad, dad, and uncle set the standard for customer service in personalized team sales for the sporting goods industry. Kannan’s family knows a majority of coaches Brad has worked or is currently working with. Life truly does come full circle!
