Q + A

What is the weather like this time of year?

Telluride is stunning in September, with mild, sunny days and cooler evenings. The average high is 66 degrees, and the average low is 37 degrees. As the nights can get chilly and much of the wedding will be held outdoors, we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to stay comfortable throughout the day.

What altitude will we be at?

Telluride is at a very high altitude, especially for those of you coming from sea level - the town of Telluride is located at 8,750 feet and Mountain Village is about 9,500. We recommend taking as much time to acclimate to the altitude as you can by arriving early, drinking plenty of water and wearing sunscreen while you’re here.

When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP on our website as soon as you can. We are trying to get an early read on attendance so we can finalize any special details while keeping our guests in mind.

Should I stay in Downtown Telluride or Mountain Village?

Both options are great, as once you arrive in Telluride, everything is within walking distance or easily accessible via the free gondola! Most of our wedding events will take place downtown, but if you choose to stay in Mountain Village, you’ll still have easy access to all the festivities.

Is the wedding outside or indoors?

The wedding will be held at a private residence, and we’re planning for most of the celebration to take place outdoors. While we’ll have heaters to keep everyone comfortable, we recommend bringing an extra layer as it can get cooler in the evening.

How will we get to and from the wedding venue?

We will provide transportation to and from the wedding venue which is less than a mile from downtown Telluride.

Will We Need A Car Once We Arrive In Telluride?

Not at all! One of the best parts about visiting Telluride is that once you’ve made it to the area, the free gondola gets you pretty much everywhere you’d want to go. Most hotels have shuttles should you need a ride after the gondola closes at midnight or you can contact Tellurides.com for a private car.

Are children welcome?

While we love your little ones, our weekend events will be adults only due to capacity restrictions. We hope you'll still be able to attend! If you plan to bring your kids with you on the trip to Telluride, we can provide you with a list of some reputable babysitting companies in town. Some options are "Annies Nannies" or "Telluride Sitters". https://www.annies-nannies.com/ or https://www.telluridesitters.com/

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
