Q + A

Can I bring a plus one?

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! However, due to the intimate nature of our event, we will only be able to accommodate the individuals specified on the invitation. When you go into the RSVP section of the website, you can respond for everyone in your "party".

How do I RSVP?

Under the RSVP button, you will be able to RSVP for everyone in your "party." The Knot asks you to RSVP for everyone in your party at once. If you cannot join us for the day, please still plan to RSVP "no" at your earliest convenience. We will miss you greatly; but we understand that things come up.

Can I bring my kids?

As we all know, Kara LOVES all kids! However, because this is a late event, please plan to make this an adult-only night. The only children planned for will be those specified on the invitation. Take this as an opportunity to spend a night away dancing into the sunset!

What should I wear?

Ugh! The hardest part of all! For this event, Trey and Kara are envisioning semi-formal attire. We do ask for our guests to refrain from wearing blue because we have a special group of young women who will be our “something blue.” Now, take into account that this wedding is happening at the end of June, outside, in a cow field. We recommend flowy dresses, sandals or boots, dress shirts, polos, light dress slacks, etc. (still plan to dress as formally as possible within a comfortable reason.)

What Will We Be Eating?

Our dinner will be barbeque and comfort foods. We are preparing for our friends and family who are gluten-free, vegetarians, etc. So, PLEASE make sure that you note on your RSVP any dietary restrictions to be sure we have enough for all guests!

Where Are We Celebrating?

We will be celebrating the Future Carters' special day at the Ferrell's family farm. Yes, that's right. Come and join us on the very farm that Kara grew up on. (253 Pottiesville Road, Bumpass VA 23024) With that being said, this is not a traditional wedding venue so please be prepared to handle some walking and some heat as the day commences. Also, as you arrive to the venue, be on the lookout for big signs giving you directions for parking, the ceremony, and the reception. Please plan to arrive by 3:30 to give yourself plenty of time to park and get settled; the gates to the field will be closed at 4:00 to ensure that the celebration is not interrupted.

Will There Be Alcohol?

Yes! However, we will only be providing drinks such as beer, bold rocks, and other popular, bottled beverages. If you are interested in having liquor, please plan to BYOB.

WHAT ABOUT TAKING PHOTOS?

I know we all love to capture the moment on our devices or personal cameras; however, we have hired an absolutely amazing photographer to give us all an opportunity to stay present and enjoy this special day. We ask that everyone keep their devices away for the ENTIRETY OF THE CEREMONY. During the reception, we welcome all photos from all devices and will have a group album to place them in when the night is over.
