Nate and Kara met in youth group at Christ United Methodist Church, where they are to be married. When Kara was in 7th grade, she had a crush on Nate, as he was always kind to everyone, constantly made her laugh, and was a great Sunday school leader.

Nearly 15 years later, their youth minister Paul set them up on a date in November 2021. He's officiating their wedding.

On their first date, they laughed and caught up over margaritas.

In the meantime, together they have travelled, danced, laughed, and grown. They share mutual loves of Kierkegaard, Jimmy Buffett, games, nature, and their cat Noodle (in no particular order).

Nate is the lead pastor at Mt Carmel United Methodist Church in Clarksville, and Kara is a medical student at ETSU in Johnson City.

Kara and Nate's relationship has been long distance, and they are beyond excited to start their lives together!
