Kara and I were always meant to be together. We were friends through my younger sister, Lindsey. My whole family always told me we HAD to date. With my head in my studies, it took me way too long to realize it! Once I got up the courage to ask Kara on a date, I knew it was too good to be true.
Within six months. we had fallen head over heels in love and bought a house. Shortly after, I asked Mary, Dale, Mommom Dougherty and most importantly Gran Doc for Kara’s hand in marriage. After an impressive (by all accounts) proposal, which I had no help from my family with (see above), we were engaged.
To some it seems fast, but as they say, you know when you know. We’re always on the same page (Kara’s page) and we go to bed with love in our hearts. I am so in love with my beautiful fiancée it hurts. Happiness has filled my heart everyday we are together.
We are so excited to welcome our closest friends and family to celebrate our wedding with us. It is a joyous occasion we have dreamt of our whole lives. We are so fortunate to have both found our soulmate to share this precious moment together.
Thank you, for everything you have done to make us the people we are today. We hope to see you at the party!!!
Love,
Kyle
Kyle and I fell in love at a rapid speed. For those of you who don’t know, Kyle’s sister, Lindsey, and I were close friends from middle school on. Over the years, I would visit the Baxter house (aka The BaxterPad). The more I showed up, the more I got to know the family and vice versa. After entering our early 20’s, I remember sitting out front on the Baxter’s porch and chatting with Lindsey. Both of us discussed our “Dream Men,” and the qualities we desired in a partner. Without hesitation, Lindsey shared how her family had the desire for Kyle and I to date. At the time, Kyle was still living in NYC. I immediately shared with Lindsey that I would be happy to go on a date with her older brother, but that I certainly wouldn't make the first move since it was my “best friends Brother.” Lindsey giggled and said, “Don’t worry my family will take care of it!”
Fast forward a couple years, I was out and about bar hopping with some of my friends in West Chester. After a long night of dancing and of course socializing, I decided it would be best for us to leave the bar and head home. While exiting the doors of Saloon 151, who catches my eye? None other than, Kyle Baxter. This happened to be Kyle’s first weekend living back at home in West Chester. With a smile on his face, Kyle asked me to grab a drink with him! Within a single second, I spun my body around, ditched my friends, and enthusiastically walked right back into the bar. Needless to say, this was the best decision I ever made. They say timing is everything right?
Since that Summer night in early July 2017, Kyle and I have fallen deeply in love with one another. Our love continues to grow stronger for each other every day. In just a years time, we have bought a house, adopted a puppy and of course got engaged! Kyle and I have each other’s backs through the thick and the thin. Not a day goes by where we don’t tell each other how much we appreciate and love one another. We are so excited for our wedding day to be here!
Kyle and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of our guest at our wedding. We encourage you to have fun and dance the night away! Thank you for supporting us in our marriage and helping us become the adults we are today.
Blessings and love to all,
Kara
