<p class="text-center">Kara and Sam met back in April of 2014... not in person, but through an online dating app. After a week or so of messaging back and forth, they decided to set up an actual first date. Sam's choice? Chili's. So one April evening, the two met up for the first time at the Roosevelt Chili's on East Bay.&nbsp;Once they both&nbsp;arrived, they greeted one another with a hug and continued inside to the bar to order some chips, salsa and drinks. To Kara, the time sitting at the bar felt like a daze... she felt a level of comfort she hadn't before and it seemed as though she knew Sam in a past life! Sam felt like Kara was easy to talk to and was good at holding a conversation. He felt like Kara had a good head on her shoulders. The two chatted and chuckled the night away.   They enjoyed each other's company so much so, they decided to extend their date that evening and drive to Clearwater Beach together! Kara hopped in Sam's blue Honda CRV and they drove off into the sunset. Once the pair arrived at the beach and found parking, they walked up to the boardwalk.&nbsp;Due to the uneven pavement, Kara's  stylish wedge heels, and (possibly) the two daiquiris she enjoyed earlier, Kara suddenly found herself wobbling in what seemed to be slow motion. Before she knew it, though, she stumbled&nbsp;to her knees! While Kara was laughing hysterically, Sam rushed over, asked if she was okay (while chuckling to himself) and helped her&nbsp;off the ground. Kara, not one to miss a golden opportunity jokingly stated, "Look! I literally just fell for you!" and the rest is history. The remainder of the night was spent walking hand-in-hand up and down the boardwalk, breathing in the fresh ocean air. They ventured out onto the sand and laid down while observing the stars. That evening, they shared their first kiss and made a wealth of memories to go with it. Kara knew from the beginning that there was something different about Sam. She told her mom the next day that she thought she was done dating- that she found the one who she was going to marry.</p>

Details

Julie is Kara's cousin on her Dad's side. Their relationship dates back to 1989, when Kara was born! Julie is married to Justin and they have a beautiful daughter together named Kenzie. Kara was Julie's Maid of Honor for her wedding back in January&nbsp;2018. They both enjoy board games, crafting, traveling, and thrift shopping together. Julie loves when Kara does her hair and makeup!&nbsp;Kara's favorite trait about Julie is her&nbsp;thoughtfulness!

Julie Dudley

Clay is Sam's brother. He has a son, named Alexander, and his wife, Andrea. Clay is a navy veteran who lives in Pensacola, Florida. When Clay and Sam get together, they enjoy drinking and catching up. One of Sam's favorite memories is when Clay took him to see Star Trek First Contact&nbsp;in 1996&nbsp;and the Borg terrified Sam- now that Sam is older, it is one of his favorite movies.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sam really admires how Clay doesn't become overly concerned about things.

Clay Cunningham

Russell is Sam's cousin on his mom's side. Russell is married to Kat and they are expecting their first child together in October. They live in Miami, Florida. When Sam and Russell have the opportunity to hang out, they enjoy day drinking and catching up with family. Sam's favorite memory is when Russell was in the Police Academy and living with&nbsp;them.&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;enjoys&nbsp;Russell's&nbsp;wittiness and laid-back attitude.

Russell Cruz

Britt is Kara's "sister from another mister". Their relationship dates way back to elementary school. Britt is married to Tyller and they have two beautiful children together, Elijah and Skylar (Kara's Goddaughter). Kara will&nbsp;(attempt) to make Britt's Pinterest ideas become a reality. They also enjoy shopping together and venturing out with the kiddos. Kara's favorite trait about Britt is her wittiness!

Brittany Roberts

Mel and Kara have know each other since college. They were taking classes together through SPC's College of Education. Mel is married to her husband Hugh and they have two amazing children together, Owen and Lauren. Melanie and Kara enjoy going to Hardrock with goals of retiring early, shopping, and dinners. They also enjoy crafty house projects and pedicures. Kara's favorite trait about Melanie is her sense of humor!

Melanie Kearney

Sam met Mike at West Pharmaceuticals, their place of employment. Mike doesn't live too far from Sam and Kara so they hang out on a regular basis outside of work. They can count on each other to go see the latest action movies right&nbsp;when they come out. One of Sam's favorite memories is when he&nbsp;took Mike to get his first major tattoo.&nbsp;They share an interest in comics and other pop culture. Sam's favorite quality of Mike's is his sense of humor.

Mike Muniz

Livvy and Kara met through Sam who is Livvy's brother. Livvy and Kara enjoy seeing each other once a week when they have dinner at the Cunningham's. Both are obsessed with Ikea trips, board games, and horror movies. Kara is so excited about gaining a sister! Kara's favorite trait about Livvy is her creativity!

Olivia Cunningham

Tyler and Sam met through Kara who is Tyler's sister. Sam and Tyler share a love of history and American Government. Sam really enjoys having conversations with Tyler.&nbsp;They also enjoy trips to the gun range together. Sam's favorite qualities&nbsp;of&nbsp;Tyler's is how genuine and caring&nbsp;he is.
