I met Marissa freshman year of college. She’s been with me every step of the way since. Marissa has brought been a constant voice of reason in my life while being the most supportive person ever. She’s the chosen step-dog mom for Sami. I am so thankful for freshman year at a private Christian university where we both felt like weirdos and wound up finding a best friend for life.

I met Jacob over 20 years ago and he has been the most annoying but loyal brother and best friend to me over the years. From vacations with my family to having dinner with my dad without me, he has done everything to make me laugh and make sure I am happy. Not only has he been a great friend, but he brought me another BFF in his wife Jackie! Can’t wait to see how our friendship continues to grow in the next 20 years.

Lynsee is my older sister and forever pain in my butt and I hers. Over the last few years we have grown a closer than I could have ever imagined. She is now not only my sister but my confidante. We always fight but also always have a good time! She gave me one of my favorite people in the entire world, her son, my nephew. I can’t wait to continue to grow our family over the lifetime we have together.

I met Brooke over 20 years after meeting her brother, Jacob. After Jacob initially not letting us hang out, we became close friends after high school. She is my girl that knows that if food is involved, I’m in. Some of my favorite memories over the years are of us grabbing some beers and food and just sitting and talking about boys and life. I’m excited for the years of food and fun to come.

I met Rachel in middle school and became close after high school. She is my party girl and knows how to have a good time. Rachel brings the laughs and booze anywhere. She is nothing but supportive and continues to be there when needed, even when I’m tired and cranky after a weekend with friends! I can’t wait to continue to party with Rachel, even if that means bounce houses and babies or margaritas on the beach.

Meeting Kacie through Jacob years ago was the best. She is one of my biggest hype women and continues to push me to get what I want. Not only is she the life of the party but she brings the party to whatever level I want at the time. She is so supportive and loving even though we only see each other like once a year, if that. I can’t wait to see what the next 50 years looks like with her by my side, if this is what it looks like now.

I first met Jason in 2019 while I was still in college at WOU through a mutual friend, and he has remained one of my best friends. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories—from his exciting venture with Yeasty Beasty to witnessing him fall deeply in love with Kara. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m honored to stand by his side on this special day.

The first time I really noticed Jason was when I would go to Papa Murphy's in Monmouth for a pie. He was... not my traditional friend/acquaintance profile, mostly because of my Mormon upbringing and his gauges he had in at the time. He cared for me even in that god-forsaken pizza establishment. So when he walked into Yeasty Beasty for an interview, I made up my mind on the spot but still had to ask him the usual questions. Little did I know that this man would grow to become not only a better manager than I was, but one of my best friends. I am honored to know this man and to be by his side for this moment.
