Our Wedding

We both agree that we were always going to cross paths one way or another. Thanks to modern technology, a match between us was set up at the perfect time. During our first conversation, we realized that we had both grown up vacationing with family in the same village of cottages in Ogunquit, Maine. We were life-long neighbors, but just never knew it. After realizing a few more mutual interests and similarities, we agreed that a first date was a must.&nbsp; 	On May 21, 2022 we met at Margaritas Restaurant in Waltham, MA. Kara remembers first noticing Christian’s height and how she left the restaurant feeling so excited to see him again. Christian remembers Kara’s undeniable warmth and kindness with a beautiful smile to match.&nbsp;By the third date, Christian challenged Kara to a home run derby. He completely fell in love when she not only agreed to do it on the spot while wearing a black dress, but also proved her softball excellence by hitting ropes all over the field with a beautiful swing.&nbsp; 	Dates started turning into weekends away in Ogunquit and attending family and friends’ weddings. We developed a love of adventuring and experiencing new places together. In February 2023, we left for Turks and Caicos on our first vacation together. The next adventure landed us in a van driving around Arizona and Utah. We knew that living out of a van for a week was a true test of our relationship, but we came home having had one of the best weeks of our lives. 	After learning to navigate a family illness, we moved in together in September 2023. Although the next few months were, arguably, the hardest for us to battle, the loss of Kara’s mother and Christian’s grandfather proved the love and dedication we had for each other. 	One August 2024 afternoon, as we explored our little town, we stumbled upon an open house in one of our favorite neighborhoods. After returning to the car from the tour, we both looked at each other and decided that this was going to be our home. We officially closed on our dream home in September 2024. Christian led us through a few months of wonderful home renovations before we decided to escape to Vermont for a cozy weekend. After our favorite breakfast of egg sandwiches and burritos, we hiked to one of our special places with our friends, Hannah and Emma. While on the hike, we trudged up to our favorite view of our small Vermont town. Despite quite a few inches of snow on the ground, Christian got down on one knee and asked Kara to marry him. Kara couldn’t have imagined a better start to the rest of their lives together.&nbsp; 	We can’t wait to continue to take on the world together and experience all the amazing things that will come our way. We want to extend a huge thank you to our families and our friends who have helped us to foster such a special and loving relationship. We will also be providing transportation back and forth from The Holiday Inn to The Everlee. Our hope is that our guests enjoy themselves thoroughly at our wedding and return "home" safely.

We will have three buses that will arrive at the Holiday Inn in Rochester, NH (77 Farmington Road) at 2:45pm. They will leave the Holiday Inn at 2:55pm to head to The Everlee. Guests should arrive to The Everlee at about 3:30pm for a 4pm ceremony. One bus will depart The Everlee to return to The Holiday Inn at 10:05pm. Two other buses will depart The Everlee and return to The Holiday Inn at 11:05pm, the conclusion of the wedding.
