Our wedding is formal attire, but please note that the ceremony will be outside in the mountains and may be chilly. Feel free to bring cozy layers and dancing shoes!

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony will be outdoors and reception will be indoors.

Both ceremony and reception will take place at Christmount Christian Assembly (222 Fern Way Black Mountain, NC 28711). Ceremony will be held at the Water's Garden, off of the main road through Christmount. The reception will be held at Aldridge Hall.

Immediately following the ceremony, the wedding party and immediate family will be taking pictures. We also plan to take large extended family photos including: Carls, Woodall, McNemar/Tomlin, and Reed. If you belong to one of these groups, we will touch base with you prior to the wedding. All other guests should feel free to walk over to the reception hall and enjoy finger foods and drinks.

While we love hanging out with all of your sweet kiddos, this is an adults only event.

Due to our small venue, we ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Yes! We will be getting married outside (weather permitting), but there is a paved walkway to the seating area for the ceremony. For friends and family who are wheelchair users, it should be noted there are 3 small stairs on the walkway. However, it should be possible to go around these stairs on level grass before returning to walkway. The reception is ADA compliant and should be accessible to all! If you have additional accessibility questions please feel free to contact Kara or Christmount directly.

Yes! We will plan to share a pizza dinner together and have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Eat, drink, and be married ya'll!

We ask that you please do not take pictures during our ceremony. We want to look out and see your beautiful faces, not your phones. However, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like during the reception! We are happy for you to post pictures from our wedding, and please tag either Alex or Kara so we can check them out too!

Great question! We are registered at Target, Amazon, Pottery Barn, and REI. We would also love for you to provide an 'experience' for us on our Icelandic honeymoon by contributing to our honeymoon fund! Hop on over to the "Registry" tab on our website for greater details.

Coming from Ashville... Get on I-240 E from College St and Charlotte St 4 min (0.8 mi) Follow I-240 E and I-40 E to NC-9 S in Black Mountain. Take exit 64 from I-40 E 14 min (14.5 mi) Continue on NC-9 S. Drive to Fern Way **Google Maps or Apple Maps work well with Christmount's location

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to our ceremony start time (3:30 PM). This should allow time for seating and signing our guestbook!

All times are based upon the Eastern Standard Time zone. This means our wedding will take place at 3:30PM EST.

All guests are free to park in the Guest House parking lot, in front of the Fellowship Hall, Aldridge Hall, and behind Davis Hall. Christmount staff will be available to assist and direct as needed.

Unfortunately, our venue is unable to accommodate everyone to attend in person. We are so very grateful for the role you have played in our lives, and the love and support you have shown us. We would love for you to still be a part of our big day, and hope you will join us virtually!
