The carriage lurched, throwing Princess Kara against the velvet cushions. "D**n these cobblestones!" she muttered, adjusting her crown. Hinge, she thought, had been a terrible idea.

"Relax, your Highness," the uber driver rumbled. "Almost there."

Kara rolled her eyes. "Almost where, exactly?"

“Bar Taco your highness.”

Princess Kara, was questioning her decision to go out with this mountain troll who had worn her down with quick wit and charm via instagram.

The mountain troll, surprisingly handsome in a rugged, caveman kind of way, grinned, revealing a set of teeth that could crush boulders. He sat at the bar making moles of men nearby.

Kara should have known better. His profile picture displayed a man flexing in Mexico, and the description read of a bearded all American meat treat. Who did this guy think he was? However, he'd been charming, witty, and promised "an adventure you'll never forget." A game about going out with only walkie talkies and 100 dollars to the bars. No phones, no credit cards, just people living in the minute.

They went on a bender of bars, friends, and dancing. She was completely entranced.

At the end of the night, the carriage screeched to a halt. Kara peeked through the window. Instead of a quaint cottage, she saw a monstrous edifice carved into the side of a down trodden neighborhood, dripping with a viscous green slime. "Welcome to my lair," the troll boomed, throwing open the carriage door. Kara hesitated. "This isn't exactly what I expected."

The troll chuckled, a deep, resonant sound. "Surprises are my specialty." He winked, then grabbed her wrist, his grip surprisingly gentle. "Come on, let's get you something to drink." This was quite an adventure.

As the troll dragged her into the shadowy depths of his lair, she wondered if her "Swipe Right" had been the biggest mistake of her life. Maybe hinge wasn't the best place to find true love, especially when your kingdom was filled with other eligible princes.

But as she stared into the troll's eyes, a flicker of something unexpected caught her gaze – a hint of vulnerability mixed with a hint of a wild nature. Perhaps, she thought, there was more to this story than meets the eye. Perhaps this "adventure" wouldn't be so bad after all.
