Did you know Connor met Kara's parents before meeting Kara?

The summer of 2017, Connor moved into his new house off campus and unfortunately didn't have wifi.

Kara was at Stritch playing in a summer league game when Connor came in and took a seat next to Mr. and Mrs. Shimko, not knowing that he was sitting next to his future in-laws.

Connor turned to Mrs. Shimko asking where they were from, thinking they were for the other team. Mrs. Shimko informed Connor how their daughter was an incoming freshman on the women's basketball team.

Following the game, Mrs. Shimko put her arm around Kara and said, "I think I found someone for you". Kara asked what his name was and Mrs. Shimko goes, "I didn't get that part, but I'm sure you'll meet him".

One of the first nights on campus, the Men's and Women's Basketball teams met at The Den.

Kara and Connor locked eyes and the rest was history.
