It was a total cupid story! Richard and I grew up together in Lake Zurich. We stayed connected over the years and will occasionally see each other at our friends' get togethers. Cupid struck, blind-siding both of us, one halloween night in 2021 and I said "oh shit, what are we going to do? I live in Texas and you live in Chicago." The on-going joke is that Nala knew before either of us! Next thing you know, I'm packing my bags and never looked back.
