If you ask Nick and Karen when they met, they'll give you different answers.

Nick will tell you that Karen caught his eye in the summer of 2022, when she started working in an office whose plants Nick tended to. Karen will tell you they met in April 2023, when her coworker pulled her aside to tell her that Nick mentioned he had a crush on her. She may have noticed the cute plant guy sooner if she wasn't working so hard.

They'll both tell you, however, that it was immediately love.

This picture here is from their first date - in Yosemite! It was in late April after a wet winter, and the roads in the valley were closed due to flooding. They parked at El Capitan and walked three miles into the valley, with waterfalls on the granite faces on either side of them the whole way.

Marked by many more adventures, their relationship quickly flourished. From Kennedy Meadows to San Diego, New York to LA, Big Sur, Death Valley, Russian River, Tahoe and Joshua Tree, they wasted no time living a full life together.

In the beginning of 2024, they learned they’d be taking on their biggest adventure yet - welcoming a baby girl into their lives. Daisy Mae was born in October, making them a family of 3 plus many pets (a german shepard, 2 cats, a rate, a snake and a turtle!).

And now, the adventure continues with marriage! They are thrilled to commit to each other in front of their closest loved ones at Yosemite, a place that is so near to their hearts. The place where their story began.
