The Big Apple has a reputation for being the worst city for dating. But not for these two. Chris and Karen met online, after she asked him how funny he was. Clearly, he made her laugh and they quickly went on their first date at a small Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side. After Chris walked two hours from Brooklyn, Karen who lives a 9 minute walk away, was 7 minutes late. (She's lucky he's patient.)

Their date was filled with laughter and the excitement of two people who unknowingly went on their last first date. They quickly became inseparable, doing all of the New York things together.. picnics and UNO in Carl Schurz Park, watching the newest Broadway shows, running through Central Park, watching fireworks over the Hudson River, going to New York sporting events (Mets, Knicks, Rangers, Nets, Liberty, US Open, Cyclones), listening to concerts at Jones Beach, seeing comedy shows, driving to the Long Island beaches, and trying new restaurants all over the city.

Through all of these amazing adventures, Chris knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Karen and on June 2nd he asked Karen to marry him. After an amazing walk on The High Line, a visit to Little Island, and checking out Chelsea Market, Chris took Karen to the same restaurant where they had their first date. They laughed even harder together and felt even more excitement than that first magical night. After they took that same walk home, Chris got on his knee in front of the first apartment they called "home" together and asked Karen to be his wife.

Chris and Karen are extremely excited to get married and begin the next chapter in their lives, and are thrilled to be able to celebrate their love with you.
