Chautauqua Park
Pearl Street Mall
A fun walking street to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat! Check out Avanti for a variety of food and a great view of the Flatirons from the rooftop, or Lucille’s for an amazing Creole brunch.
Things Outside of Boulder
If you are traveling from out of town, we highly recommend extending your trip to explore Colorado! Some other favorite hikes close by that are not listed below include: Brainard Lake, Mount Falcon Park, Red Rocks Park, and Echo Lake. Feel free to ask us for any recs for hikes, food, or other activities!
Rocky Mountain National Park
A must if you have never been! About an hour outside of Boulder, RMNP is home to the most stunning mountain views and wildlife. You will likely still need a timed entry permit to enter the park in mid-October. Estes Park, the quaint little town right outside the park, is a great place to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park
Another great park about 30 mins outside Boulder. The fall colors should be very nice in mid October :)
