Getting Here

We are excited to have you join us on Vancouver Island for our wedding. Traveling to the Island can take some planning and we hope these tips will make it a little easier for you!

A few options to consider when planning your trip to the Island:

BC FERRIES

If you are traveling from Vancouver, the BC Ferry route is Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal (Vancouver to Victoria)

We strongly encourage you to make a reservation as summer months and weekends can be extremely busy. If reservations are fully booked or you choose not to make one, no worries! 55% of the vessel is for "first-come" or non-reservations, but you may have to wait a sailing (or two), so make sure you plan your ferry travel time accordingly!

FLYING

There are two international airports to choose from:

1. The closest is Victoria International Airport (YYJ).

2. The second is Vancouver International Airport (YVR). It is a bit further and requires you to take BC Ferries.

RENTAL CARS + DRIVING

You may want to rent a car from the airport to get around time. We recommend reserving a car rental at the same time as booking your flight since car rentals are very popular during the summer months.

Driving from YVR (Vancouver International Airport) + ferry travel will take approximately 3 hours 15 minutes to the venue, and 3 hours to Victoria.

Driving from YYJ (Victoria International Airport) will take 1 hour to the venue, and 30 minutes to Victoria.

TAXI + TRANSIT

Victoria now has Uber!

There are also some taxi companies that operate in the Greater Victoria area:

1. Bluebird Cabs (Victoria), 250-382-2222

2. Yellow Cab (Victoria), 250-381-2222

3. Esquimalt Saanich Taxi, 250-386-7766

4. Victoria Taxi, 250-383-7111

5. Westshore Taxi, 250-478-7888

6. The Cabbie, 250-508-7700
