Kari and William met while studying at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. They were both heavily involved in the music organizations and first became friends while playing in the St. Olaf Band (best band in the land!). Their relationship took off after they both were counselors together at the St. Olaf Summer Music Camp.
From there, they spent time in Rochester, Minnesota while Kari was working at Mayo. They stayed active in community and professional music ensembles, discovered their favorite restaurant (First Meeting Noodle), navigated a pandemic, enjoyed trips to the North Shore, played many rounds of Mah Jongg, and added a furry friend, Amelia, to their household. They got engaged at Lake Okoboji, a second cherished home to Kari and her family where William and Kari have created many special memories over the years.
Shortly after the engagement, they moved to Iowa City, Iowa. They have inadvertently become sports fans (Go Hawks!), and love finding new places to go on walks. William has become an excellent practice dental patient for Kari and continues to give her opportunities to enjoy his live music performances. They cannot wait to start their married life together and are so excited to celebrate with all of you! Here is a selection of some of their favorite memories over the years.
