While technically, Matt and I met through Bumble, I prefer to tell people we met at the hospital. Matt was the cute nurse I would tell my coworkers about, hoping to see him while doing portable xrays up in the patient tower. After a coworker convinced me to download Bumble again, Matt came across my Bumble and I knew I had to swipe right. It was a MATCH. We started talking at the end of November in 2019. After our first date, we continued to spend time together when our crazy work schedules lined up. Matt finally made it Facebook Offical on January 29th 2020, right in time for a pandemic to hit our country.

Matt proposed on December 17th 2021 at Storybook Island. I had spent a good chunk of my day at urgent care and was not feeling the greatest. We had plans to meet some friends, Trinda and Marvin, that evening to see the Christmas lights. I tried to cancel several times but Matt was very persistent that we just go anyways. I gave up trying to cancel and continued on with our plans. It was a super cold night, so we were going to walk through very quickly. We stopped to take a cute picture in the tunnel of lights. While taking a picture, I glanced to my left and noticed that Matt was down on one knee. I instantly thought he was messing around until I noticed the ring box and realized it was the real deal. Matt asked me to spend the rest of our lives together and the answer, of course, was a YES! Matt had thought ahead and hired a photographer to be there to capture the moment. Our families were also there to help us celebrate.
