which airport is the closest?
San Jose is about 45-60 minutes from Santa Cruz, San Francisco is about 90 minutes north. both are great options, but a rental car will be required either way.
Where can we stay?
Santa Cruz is the closest option. San Jose is inland but also a good choice. Aptos is south of Santa Cruz and offers vacation rentals, but few hotel options. Capitola is between santa Cruz and Aptos, few hotels but does have some options.
