A local coffee shop with a very industrial and inviting feel. It is located along the Mississippi River as well as the walking trail. Stop in and enjoy the atmosphere, views, delicious snacks and coffee drinks that Milltown has to offer. My personal favorite is a vanilla latte!
Whitey's Ice Cream has been voted Best in the Midwest for years and was recently voted Best IceCream in the World. Whitey's is known for their shakes and malts and various ice cream flavors that are constantly being added to with new flavors. I have many favorites from Whitey's, but a traditional Strawberry Sundae (with extra strawberries) or a strawberry shake are probably my top two favorites!
Lagomarcino's is a local chocolate and ice cream shop with an old-fashioned feel. It is located in the historic downtown Moline area. They have many different menu options and sweet treats to offer! Stop in and have a taste.
Bent River has locally brewed beer with new brews every season and the beers that are available all year round. They cater to the nicer weather as well as the not so nice weather with a patio and indoor seating. If you are someone who enjoys tasting new beers, I highly recommend this place! You may find a new favorite.
Full of history! This army installation is where I grew up going to summer day camp and then worked as a summer day camp counselor for many years. There are plenty of activities to do such as, Memorial Park, the Confederate Cemetery, Quarters One, Rock Island Arsenal Museum, Tank Display, Golf Course and Club, and so much more. If you are interested in enriching yourself in this, please be sure to bring a valid Driver's License or State ID to gain access onto the installation.
Take a ride along the Mississippi River by hopping onto the Channel Cat! There are certain stops that the Channel Cat makes, one being near where the Radisson Hotel and reception are being held. I grew up boating, tubing, swimming, and spending time with my family on the Mississippi, so if time and weather allow, take a relaxing ride on the Channel Cat.
