Karina and Michael met at the tail end of their freshman year of college in 2015. After a few weeks of shy hello's while walking to class, they exchanged numbers and parted ways for the summer. That whole summer was spent texting, calling, and pulling all-nighters together over FaceTime. Karina snuck in a quick visit to Michael's hometown in Door County (thanks to our parents for allowing this!) where they went on their first date to a drive-in movie. Once they returned to school that fall, they made it official and began their love story as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Karina and Michael both graduated from UW-Milwaukee and spent 3 years living in Milwaukee post-grad until they moved to Chicago in 2021. They are the proud parents of a sassy cat, Middy, who sadly will not be in attendance.

In an early celebration of their 8-year anniversary, Michael planned a date for them in Milwaukee on September 4, 2023, where he proposed to Karina in the presence of a few of their closest friends.

They are thrilled to celebrate the next chapter in their love story with beloved friends and family on October 5, 2024.
