Karina and Austin’s love story began in late 2019, thanks to the magic of a little dating app called Hinge — right before the world hit pause. While everyone else was panic-buying toilet paper, these two were starting something pretty special.

Their first date was sushi followed by a fierce battle at monster mini golf. Austin won that round (he won’t let anyone forget), but Karina made a glorious comeback in the rematch — and let’s just say, it’s been a friendly rivalry ever since. After a few more dates filled with laughter, deep talks, and way too much good food, they made it official on April 22nd, 2020 — right in the middle of quarantine life. While the world slowed down, their connection only grew stronger.

Over the years, their relationship has been full of unforgettable moments, meaningful growth, and a whole lot of love. Karina learned the rules of football (and now yells louder than Austin at every Ravens game), while Austin learned that when Karina says she only needs “a few minutes” to get ready, he should probably expect to wait a couple of hours.

Then came January 13th, 2024 — a snowy trip to Deep Creek Lake with close friends turned into a magical, blizzard-filled memory. In the middle of an outdoor ice rink, with snow swirling all around them, Austin got down on one knee (on skates, no less!) and asked Karina to marry him. She said yes — of course — and they ended the night with a romantic couples' skate… even if Austin had to cling to the wall like Bambi on ice. It's the thought that counts, right?

Now, Karina and Austin are looking forward to all that’s ahead — finding their first home, sharing life with their two beloved cats, Cookie and Stormy, and someday starting a family of their own. Every step of their journey has been filled with laughter, learning, and love — and they know the best is still yet to come.
