Though we went to the same elementary school, and even lived 5 min away from each other at one point in time, Dominic and I didn't meet until college. We formally met at Eastern Illinois University in 2013 during the first week of classes.

Instantly we clicked as friends, and eventually best-friends. We started driving home together on breaks, cramming in studying sessions at the library, and joining the same student organizations.

As Dominic kept coming over to my dorm, (eating my snacks he always claimed he didn't really like :) , we noticed we had more in common than we ever thought, and started dating in November 2013.

Years later, he proposed on our 4 year anniversary, professing his love for me. And obviously I said yes, as there is no other place to be, other than happy in life with your best friend.
